The Lonely Mansion RP
A private two person RP.
Your character can be the grown son of a very rich man, but the father and son didn't get along. The father has to go away on a journey some where and thinking that his son needs to learn some more about the world asks him to manage his mansion while he is gone. The trick is the father to cut costs dismisses all of the waiting staff except for one lone servant -
girl to wait on the selfish and lazy son.

Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
Iiam was outraged with his father. He'd broken many mirrors and wondows as he walked allong the hallways.
"How can he do that to me?!" he screamed. Iiam walked through the mansion. Everywhere he was reminded of his family name, now he'd have to keep it up on his own. "A son of the Mic.Alaster family shouldn't have to go through this!" he thought.
The year, 1888. the exact date was irrelivent.
His father left him only one maid to help him. He was greatful she was at least beautiful, but he wasn't about to do anything to woo her. "She's just a lowly servent. How did that thought enter my mind?" he thought arrogently.

Lillian scuttled about worried like, sweeping up piles of broken glass everywhere. The new master of the house and been furious to learn that the other wait staff were on extended leave. Lillian wondered why the Master had selected her alone to stay?
She must admit her first impression of the young master was that he was a scary and tempremental young man, and besides the broken things now she was worried that he might have cut his hand in the process. Tucking a roll of bandages into her apron she followed the trail of destruction to the study.
"P-pardon me, sir." She dared to look through the open door, her eyes meekly pointed at the floor. "Might you be alright...?" She asked hesitantly.

Iiam looked at her with dissintrest as he sat down in one of the chairs. "I am fine...and since my FATHER wants me to keep this place up...I'll help you clean my mess out there." he said, not caring about what had happened.

"Oh no!" The young maid protested. "Please, it is my job to clean. Allow me." She bowed and entered the room hesitantly. She walked towards the young master, her eyes trying to seen his hands. She was sure she had seen some blood on the pieces of broken glass.
Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
Iiam hid his hand. "It's nothing to worry about." he said arrogently. "Go clean if that it what you must do."
Iiam didn't like people staring at his hands at all. A man once commented that his hands were too fare for a man of his age.
Iiam put his other hand through his medium length blond hair. He was aggitated again.

"As you wish." Lillian nervously curtsied then turned to leave. She quietly closed the door to leave Iiam in his solitude. Hopefully he would brighten up in a day or so, his anger and aggitation made Lillian jittery.
With trembling hands she set about sweeping up the glass and finding cloth to nail over the broken windows. It was the beginning of fall and it would be getting chilly soon.

Iiam quietly walked out of the study. He was suprized that the maid had cleaned the entire mess in such a short time.
"That was quick." he said impressed with her. "Come with me." he insisted and walked out to one of the side doors leading into the garden.

Lillian jumped a bit as the young master appeared and gave her an order. "Yes sir." She meekly bowed her head and followed him, wondering what he wanted her to do.
Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
Iiam lead her through the gardens. He loved the gardens, the smell of pollen and the sounds of the wind through the trees on the far side.
"I love this place." he told her, "Out here nothing can toutch you...not politics, not the pestering of my father. There is always a place to hide and become lost in your dreams." he said with pride. "If you like. I'd like to walk though here with you."
Iiam wasn't sure why he'd just blurted out what he kept secret, but he knew he could trust this maid. She was younger than him and more impressionable.

"It is not about what I like or dislike, sir." Lillian modestly bowed her head. "If this is merely about gardens then I beg your leave, sir. I have chores to attend to."
Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
"Don't give me that!" he shouted at her, "I'm talking to you as a person and your chores can wait for a few munites."
Iiam's frustation returned, but more for her than anything at that moment. He wished his old maid had been there. She was the only other person who cared enough to walk with him. Despite his actions and attitude, she would walk and play with him.
"I just want someone to talk to for a few minute each day. I don't want it to be your chore either."

Lillian jumped and flinched as Iiam shouted, but quickly regained her composure. "As you wish, young master." She said and dully curtsied. She nervously clasped her hands in front of her, her eyes looking down, waiting for him to dismiss her.
Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
Iiam looked her over. "Just go already...you're not good for anything but cleaning." he sighed, very disappointed in her.
Iiam walked to the trees and sat at the base of one of them. He almost wanted to scream again, but it would be useless.

"Yes sir." Lillian nodded in agreement. With a final curtsey she hurried away to make dinner. As she stood in the kitchen chopping vegetables she was awash with relief. The new master expected so much of her...the old master never spoke to her save to give commands or reprimand her. Lillian didn't know how to respond to someone who just wanted a conversation.
Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
Iiam sat on the root of a tree untill way passed dark. He loved the fall, it was his favorite season. He listenned to the wind and birds. The crows and ravens cawed at eachother in the dark. "I wish I was as free as you. I wish...I wish it was possible."
He though about how he'd seen the ravens and sparrows durring the day. He'd walk under a tree filled with them and not know it untill they flew away.

Lillian kept the food warm as long as she could, but was nervous when the master didn't come in for supper. It was very crude to ring the dinner bell, but if he didn't come soon his food would get cold. Lillian had not known what kind of foods he liked, so she had made a simple dish of vegetable and beef stew with biscuits. She had set a nice place for him in the main dinning room.
With a sigh for courage she finally went outside in the darkness, shivering a bit in the cold wind. She finally found Iiam sitting underneath a tree. "Pardon me sir, but dinner is prepared."

Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
Iiam had almost fallen asleep. He stumbled to his feet and almost fell. "Oh...okay." he said wearily.
Iiam called for her to help him inside. He knew he was too tired to make it on his own.
"You...need to learn how to lighten up." he said flatly.

"Yes sir." Lillian dully nodded in agreement as she lightly took the master's hand and draped his arm about her small shoulders. It was a lot of effort on her part, but she helped the sleepy man into the dining room and sat him down at the head of the long oak table. She pushed in his chair and placed a napkin over his lap.
She removed the lid from his bowl of stew, and the cloth from over the steaming biscuits. "Here you are, sir." She said politely, handing him a silver spoon.

"Thank you." he said just as polite. "Please sit nex t to me." he asked.
He knew she would, she had to or he'd make her. "You look hungry yourself." he commented. "I want you to dine with me. I won't take No for an answer."
Iiam watched her reactions carefully through his tired eyes.

Lillian nervously fiddled with her hands and the edge of her apron. "But sir..." She said meekly, a slight blush in her cheeks. "I only prepared a meal for one." She admitted.
Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
"Sit." he commanded her.
He thought it was funny how she played with her apron.
He placed a half biscuit in front of the seat he wanted her in.

"Yes sir." Her voice almost squeeked with aprehension as she nervously took a seat. She sat politely and quietly at the table, her eyes fixed hesitantly on the piece of biscuit. She sat still, not able to bring herself to be brave enough to reach for the food.
Re: The Lonely Mansion RP
Iiam sighed. "Do I need to oder you to eat that too?" he asked playfully.
Iiam wasn't the very tall, but he stood above Lillian buy a few inches. He thought maybe her caying him might have been exhausting. "I'm sorry I made you carry me in here." he appologized. Iiam still watched her, even as he slowly spooned his stew into his mouth.
