Lillian had handed Iiam the large basket, and now in the marketplace she bought various needed foods and placed them in the basket. She sort of hoped that by watching her that maybe the young master would learn how to work the marketplace.

"Always go to Rita for raddishes, and two pounds for five loaves is a decent price..." She rattled off facts to him in her usual shy and dull fashion.

Iiam acted disinterested, but was very good at remembering little details like this. He took in all the information Lillian had to give him.
"You're teaching me how to shop..." he interrupted, "Then I get to show you how to have fun." he smiled slyly at her.

Lillian paused to look at him for a moment. She hesitated and opened her mouth to answer, but then didn't say anything, though a slight blush went over her face. She picked up a fresh bun from a bakery vendor and put one in Iiam's hand. "These are the best buns." She said shyly as she sat down on the steps of a building for a moment to rest and enjoy a bun herself.

Iiam stared at the bun, then sat down next to her. He hadn't noticed that when he sat down his hip had found it's way to hers. He slid over a few inches, "S-sorry."
Iiam watched as the people walked by. Some with food, a few drunks, and even many children. He watched the children in aw. He thought back to all the times he remembered being that age and never allowed to play with other children. A sad look came acrossed his face, much more than he himself had even noticed.

Lillian enjoyed her bun slowly, a small smile on her face, when she happened to glance at Iiam. He looked a little ill. Concerned she placed the back of her hand against his forehead to check if he had a fever. "Are you alright?"

Iiam snapped out of it. "I'm fine." he pushed her hand away, "Don't worry about it.
Watching those children have all that freedom and not a penny to their name was depressing for him. "I wish...I wish I was like them."

Lillian sighed, her eyes a little distant as she turned to look at the children he was looking at. "As do I." She answered, her voice soft and contemplative. It seemed they had moved on to a sad subject for them both.

Iiam suddenly felt very sick. He looked to the nearest storm drain and ran to it. Though he was very slim, he lifted the heavy iron lid up and retched in the sewers.
Iiam had forgotten he made himself sick.

"Oh dear are you alright?" Lillian fused, rushing to his side.

Iiam retched again.
He pulled his head out and looked at her, "No...I'm not." he said weakly. His limbs were shaking as he tried to stand.
Iiam summoned a carriage and with in a few minutes were on their way home.
Iiam stumbled into his room and lied down on top of his sheets. He groaned as his stomack was now in much pain.
"I hope it gets here at a better time." he said quietly. He'd baught something while Lillian wasn't looking and had it delivered to the mansion.

Upon reaching the mansion Lillian had put away the groceries, and then bringing a basin and pitcher of water up to Iiam's room she hesitantly entered. "Should I call for a doctor?" She asked, placing the pitcher of water on his night stand. She stood near his bed, her hands nervously fiddling with the edge of her apron again.

"No." he said weakly, "I did this to myself. I'll be over it in a few hours."
Iiam watched her hands as she fiddled with her apron.
"By the way. Did anything arrive to day?" he asked. Ay that moment the bell connecter to the main door rang loudly.
A man with a wide package was waiting for a reply.

"Um..." Lillian tried to recollect when the door rang. "Excuse me!" She hurridely bowed to Iiam and walked quickly to the front door.

"May I help you?" She slowly opened the door to the man.

"Excuse me, mum." the man said, "I've come to deliver a package to Mr. Iiam." he handed the package you her and left quickly as he had other deliveries to make.

Lillian bowed as the man left. With curious eyes she carried the package up to Iiam's room. "I believe the package you said you were expecting has arrived." She said, entering his room and presenting the package to him.

"Open it." he insisted. He waited excitedly for her to open it.

Hesitantly Lillian carefully pulled away the brown paper packaging over the box. With her beautiful and tiny hand she undid the string on the box. She almost dropped the box to the floor when she had opened it. Tears came to her eyes. "You can't mean it sir...I cannot accept this."

"Yes, I can and do mean it. And, yes you may accept it." he smiled. "You are too beautiful to be wearing that maid's outfit every day." he babbled on, but he meant something much simpler.

Lillian hid her tears of gratitude in her new dress. "Thank you. Thank you. I'll take good care of it." It was obvious that Lillian had never recieved so fine a gift.

Iiam smiled. He was glad he did good on his gift.
"Will you wear it for me?" he asked weakly. He turned on his side to see her better.

Lillian quickly nodded. "Of course. I shall go change." She said, unable to contain her excitement as she rushed out the room.

A few minute later she came back in, her face blushing and shy as she straightened out her puffy skirt. Her hair looked positively cute with the frilly headband. "Does it suite me?" She asked, nervously, as she did a couple of twirls for him.

Iiam sat up immediately. He stared in amazement, not only at her beauty, but just the simple fact that she was enjoying herself.
"B-beautiful!" his breath came out hushed. He knew at that moment, that he wanted always to be with her. He would fight whoever it took, he was determined to be with her.

"Thank you so much." She couldn't stop the tears streaming from her eyes. She had to take out a hankerchief to blow her nose. She was brought to tears from such a simple dress. "I don't know however to repay you."

"You don't have to repay me. I did it...because I wanted to." he smiled.
Iiam had washed and rinced his face and mouth while she was gone, so his appearance and smell was much improoved.
He stood up and walked over to her. He stook her shoulders gently and kissed her cheek.

Lillian was caught so off guard by the kiss to the cheek that she actually became weak in the knees and fainted.
